赛门铁克昨天收购了PC Tools！
个人觉得产品共性很多，所以整合很困难，因此虽然PC Tools面向家庭消费，但是会独立运营，不会并入诺顿牌品，不过杀毒部分会不会和VB继续合作就难说了。不知道赛门铁克的战略，不过以后PC Tools是否继续提供一些免费的工具就很难说了。。。链接：[url]http://www.symantec.com/about/news/release/article.jsp?prid=20080818_02[/url]

Symantec expands consumer portfolio to better enable and protect consumers’ digital life

The financialterms of the acquisition are not being disclosed. The transaction isexpected to close by the end of the calendar year and is subject tocustomary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
With the addition of PC Tools, Symantec will expand its consumerproduct portfolio to include award-winning PC utilities software andpoint security technologies. PC Tools will help Symantec expand itsreach with consumers in new emerging regional markets and will bring anarray of go-to-market capabilities, that have been effective withconsumers in many markets around the world.
